Curriculum
We are working through Lifeway’s Gospel Project on Sundays, using Bible stories to walk through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and see how the gospel is involved in every story.
Check In and Check Out
After walking down the stairs to Trailhead, please use the iPads to check in your child. If it is your first time, you will hit “create new account” and answer all of the questions. You can also download the KidCheck app in advance and create an account. The greeter can answer any questions and help you decide which classroom is the best fit for your child.
Please ensure the phone number on the account is turned on at all times while your child is with us, as this is how we will contact you if needed.
Once you have checked in on the iPads, you will receive printed name tag stickers – one for each child, along with a guardian receipt for the adult dropping off.
The greeter will then direct you to your child’s classroom, where you will check them in on the roster, meet their teacher, and leave any of their belongings in a cubby or on a hook.
Please arrive promptly after service or community hour to pick up your child and check out of our system. You will need to show the greeter your guardian tag to get into Trailhead. Then show the teacher your guardian tag, and the teacher will make sure it matches before releasing the child into your care.
Need to Leave Early?
New Families in Trailhead
Going to a new nursery is hard! Some kiddos (and parents!) take a little longer to adjust and that’s okay! We know that it is hard to leave your child when they are upset, but most children calm down very quickly after their people leave.
If they don’t we will text the number on your child’s KidCheck tag. We encourage you to talk to your child’s teacher about how long you are comfortable letting them settle before we reach out to you.
New Moms and Nursing
We have no minimum age in Trailhead; we trust mom and dad to decide when they are ready for baby to be in the nursery.
If you are a nursing mom, we have a room for you! Even if you are not dropping off your child, feel free to come down to Trailhead at any time. Just ring the doorbell, and the greeter will direct you to our nursing room.

Check In and Check Out
Checking in (10:40-50 a.m.)
- After entering Base Camp, please use the iPads to check your child into our system.
- Once your child is checked in, tags will be printed for you and your child. Please keep your tag, as it will be required as a security check before we release any child from our system.
- If it is your first time visiting us, we strongly recommend that you walk your child to their classroom. We’d love for you to meet their discipler and see where to pick them up after the service.
- There will be a greeter at the check-in counter to answer any questions you have.
Checking out (11:30-40 a.m.)
- Please arrive promptly after community hour to pick up your child and check out of our system.
- When you return to Base Camp, simply show the greeter your guardian tag and head to your child’s room.
- You will need to show your child’s discipler your guardian tag. They will check the code on your child’s name tag and make sure it matches yours before releasing the child into your care.

Location
When you exit the sanctuary, go through the breezeway and Base Camp will be on the back right side of the hub area.
Note to Parents
We love having parents involved in Base Camp! A lot of our best volunteers are parents of Base Campers. Even if you aren’t a volunteer, you are welcome to stay and see what Base Camp is like.
If you plan on regularly joining us in Base Camp, you will need to do our Ministry Safe training.
